Sirens

Filed under: Poem — GmanSpeaks @ 3:21 am

***

I hear Sirens
I see the flashing lights
my mind is flooded w/ images
still bodies left cold
silent screams of innocent bystanders
a mothers intuitive heartbreak
a muted shriek followed by dry tears
the slightest wind cascades the night

**
I hear Sirens
my window is painted with flashing red lights
the streets are painted with young lost souls
the artist remains the architect
the designers of these Ghettos
the occupants remained trapped
while society by passes it
never catching the sound of the Sirens
never seeing the flashing lights
until it paints their windows

I Want to Kiss You in the Rain

Filed under: Poem — GmanSpeaks @ 3:13 am

***

I want to kiss you in the rain
I want to feel your heart beating against my chest
as I grip you
refusing to let go
refusing to let you go
you belong here with me
in this moment
with the momentum increasing
as we lean in
I stare into your eyes
only blinking to clear my vision
to see that it is you that I want
that I’ve always wanted
our breath greets in preparation
for our lips initial embrace
soft, gentle
I wipe the raindrops cascading down your cheek
removing the mascara, make up and everything created
to mask your glowing face
there you stood
face bare in all its you-ness
vulnerable, needing me
needing you
God never created anything more beautiful
our foreheads pressed against each other
exchanging smiles of relief and bliss
I stroke your hair, and you close my eyes
and reassure me
your passion interlocks with mine
by way of lips
opening up loves passage way
and indeed it is love
as tears mixed with rain
slowly drip off our faces to floor
I believe one calls it “Happiness”…
I want to kiss you in the rain

The way she moves, moves me #sixwordstories

**

She illuminates the darkest of rooms #sixwordstories

**

She has awakened the lover within #sixwordstories

**

Without her his life is meaningless #sixwordstories

**

Let’s keep warm by loves fire #sixwordstories

**

Her breath, breathes life into me #sixwordstories

**

She’s the soundtrack of my life #sixwordstories

**

She never ceases to amaze me #sixwordstories

**

She inspires me to be greater #sixwordstories

**

Disregarding inhibitions we gave into temptation #sixwordstories

**

Our bodies connected, our souls eloped #sixwordstories

**

Let’s throw caution into the wind #sixwordstories

**

The makings of her, perfectly imperfect #sixwordstories

**

There’s nothing like a womans touch #sixwordstories
